Privacy policy
Harex Inc. collects only what it needs to quote, schedule and document fire protection work, and to keep the records the Ontario Fire Code requires us to keep.
What we collect
Contact details you give us (name, company, phone, email, building address), the details of the work requested, and inspection records created while servicing your building. If you email us documents such as a deficiency list or an order to comply, we keep them with your file.
How we use it
To respond to your request, quote and schedule work, perform and document inspections, invoice, and contact you about upcoming or overdue service. Inspection reports are provided to you and, where applicable, filed with the authority having jurisdiction, which is part of how your building stays on record as maintained.
Mobile information and text messages
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or scheduling, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
If you provide your mobile number and consent, we may send service-related text messages about scheduling, arrival times and inspection status. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of text messages does not affect the service we provide.
Who we share it with
Nobody, except where it is necessary to deliver the work: the authority having jurisdiction for inspection filings, your insurer at your request, and service providers who help us operate (for example scheduling or accounting software). We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Inspection and service records are retained for as long as needed to meet Fire Code and insurance requirements, and because a building’s history is the most useful thing we can bring to your next inspection. Contact information is kept while you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Your choices
